Spirited Away

“Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars, to change the world.” ― Harriet Tubman

Soldier, saint, hero and spy,
a promise made, ‘to do or die’
In liberation of legacy now left,
as she herself, had truly kept.

Spirited, inspirational and brave,
multitudes, in her life she’s saved.
Under the dark shadows of night,
courageous and brave in her fight.

Guided by ‘Polaris’ the Northern star,
shepherding, her enslaved people far.
She had ‘Eyes in the back of her head’
is what those folk, who knew her, said.

A true disciple and warrior devotee,
hearing God’s true words consistently.
Never one to run away, or back down,
leading the oppressed to higher ground.

A promise that she had made,
to ‘free all persecuted slaves’.
Her God given faith and visions,
served to guide her on missions.

A blessing of temporal lobe epilepsy,
to trust and believe in divine spirituality
Harriet Tubman absolutely fulfilled her vow,
look back on her legendary life story now. S
