Who am I?

WHO AM I?
 I am, temporal lobe epilepsy,
 society’s “invisible” disease.
 You won’t know about me,
until, I fall down to my knees.

Many think that, this is a curse,
shunned and turned away in history,
 No ‘understanding’ which is worse.

There are famous people who had this:
 did you know?
 Pythagoras, Socrates, Vincent Van Gogh,
Lewis Carroll, and the lists begin to grow!

My Doctor said: “This can be a ‘blessing,
if you manage; “personality traits carefully’
To all of those, with this ‘sacred disease’
learn about the epilepsy positives please.

  1. Thank you ellie894.

Yes, epilepsy has a huge stigma ellie, which not many people talk about, because we have been vilified in history.

I’ve spent many years researching the personality traits of this condition. To avoid excessive doses of medication, which seems to be the only thing that ‘most’ neurologists can prescribe.

    ‘And as Lewis Carroll said:

“When we lose one blessing, another is often most unexpectedly given in its place.”

I sincerely appreciate your thoughtfulness and kind, in taking the time to read about this and love your comment.

  2. You are so kind and considerate Ivor.
How proud you must be of your niece, having a good singing voice is an absolute gift. I can imagine that she would have the voice of an angel.
